Abstract

As a professional photographer, Anton Ismael not only focuses on his work, but he also pays attention on the development of non-formal education which can beshown by establishing Kelas Pagi community, where through this panel he shares his knowledge about photography for free. This can be categorized as altruistic act as Ismael tries to pay attention on other’s well-being.The objective of this research is tofind out on how altruism which has been done byIsmael through Kelas Pagi community affects him in his work as a professional photographer. The method used in this research is qualitative and the primary data is collected from in-depth interviews. Meanwhile, the secondary data is collected from literature studies, books, journals and websites. This study found out that Ismael’s altruism through Kelas Pagi community is not only benefits him as a professional photographer, but also benefits everyone else who participates in the communityitself.
