Abstract

Social media isnowoneof platform to create interaction and different experiences for users. In2017, there are 130 million active social media users inIndonesia with79%of them use it everyday. Instagram isoneof the social media widely used by53 million active users. Instagram was originally used to upload photos, videos and also a place to communicate, butnowit can be a place to develop businesses. Dapurfit is one of the companies that uses Instagram as a tool to promote its business which isan online catering company that provides healthy food and drinks since 2012. Dapurfit isnot the only healthy online catering account on Instagram, unfortunately other online catering accounts did plagiarism or copy content from Dapurfit. However, aside from uploading an informative content to Dapurfit's instagram, the important role of consumers in giving good recommendations is also oneof the roles played. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim todetermine the effect of information quality and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) insocial media especially Instagram on company image. The research methodology used is quantitative and conducted a survey to100respondents of Instagram @Dapurfit followers. From the results, it was found 70.9% of Dapurfit image was influenced by the information quality and e-WOM variables, while the remaining 29.1% was determined by other factors. In the future, Hopefuly Dapurfit can continue tp improve the information quality and e-WOM so they can always tobe known as a trusted online healthy catering despite the plagiarism issue on its content by others.
