Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Makna Perilaku Rasis dalam Film Get Out Karya Jordan Peele: Analisis Semiotika Christian Metz bertujuan untuk mengetahui unsur-unsur perilaku rasis yang terkandung dalam Film Get Out. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Analisis Semiotika Christian Metz. Analisis Semiotika Christian Metz bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna dalam film melalui unsur – unsur pembuat film yaitu Mise-En-Scene dan Mest-En-Shot(sinematografi) dan juga melaui analisis delapan grande syntagmatique. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat unsur perilaku rasis yang dilakukan oleh karakter – karakter dalam film ini dengan sikap dan perilaku stereotipe, prasangka, intimidasi secara psikologis dan mental yang berujung pada diskiriminasi rasial.
