Abstract

In the current world of International Relations, it is critical to reinstate the human aspect to International Relations, which necessitates a shift in the discipline's emphasis to human encounters and interactions. The Kite Runner novel is a narrative about humanity in scope of redemption and relationships, as well as how it perseveres in surviving as a ray of hope in times of war. Novels can influence society while also being influenced by what is going on in society. It has a significant impact on how we perceive the world. The qualitative descriptive research approach will be used in this study because the data and results of the analysis are in the form of phenomena descriptions such as words, phrases, sentences, statements, and dialogues from the novel "The Kite Runner." This research will be using content analysis to help with gathering datas as proof of statements. From this research, humanity is shown through redemption by Amir's willingness to sacrifice himself as Hassan once did for him, also through the relationships between the characters. Finally, during the Soviet invasion and tribal warfare in Afghanistan that destroyed the nation, the humanity of the characters engaged was impacted. Through Amir, Khaled Hosseini discreetly indicates that if Afghanistan wants to atone for its own history of brutality and prejudice, it must make a comparable sacrifice. We must all promote humanity wherever feasible. When we begin to practice humanity, we will be able to address many major issues.
