Abstract

Child malnutrition is a serious concern in the world today. The presence of nutritional problems in children can be found in places that are populated by many. Children are still consuming unhealthy food due to the accessibility and instant gratification that acts as a substitute for proper meal consumption. Therefore, a Public Relations campaign named “Ibu Cermat Anak Sehat” is designed by using theories and applying the 9 steps of strategic planning of Public Relations by Ronald D. Smith. A campaign concept plan for The Ministry of Health of The Republic of Indonesia aims to raise awareness and educate mothers to improve children’s nutrition in Jakarta. This campaign uses social media promotion, roadshow, festival and social media competition as strategy and tactics that are expected to bring a positive impact in increasing public awareness and knowledge towards a balanced diet for children’s nutrition.
