Abstract

Based on World Health Organization (WHO)’s 2016 research data posted on 2018, there are 5.2 deaths per 100.000 population in Indonesia. World Health Organization (WHO) stated on September 19th 2019 that one person dies of suicide every 40 seconds. Suicidal thoughts mostly occur among people around age 15-29 years old. This concerns the future of the country for there’s a coming bonus demography. Therefore, utilizing the 9 steps of PR Planning by Ronald D. Smith, that consists of; analyzing the situation, analyzing the organization, analyzing the public, establishing goals and objectives, formulating action and response strategies, selecting communication tactics, implementing the strategic plan, and evaluating the strategic plan, Hang On, Move On: A Theatrical Performance Campaign on Suicide Prevention aims to raise the awareness of the said group of age students in Jakarta and their parents on the issue of suicide prevention by using Instagram posts, press conference, theatrical performance, and song challenge.
