Abstract

Changes from traditional to modern family life cause wives contribute to the economy and various decision-making in a family. Thus, dynamic and diverse communication patterns in individual decision making will take into account. The purpose of this research is to analyze husband and wife communication patterns and role of decision making in Mutual Fund investment product. This research using qualitative method due to descriptive analysis which emphasizing the pattern of family communication through in-depth interview with four couples for certain criterias determined by researcher. The result of this research shows that the pattern of family's communication with a working wife is unbalanced-split pattern. The role of the working wives are as inisiator, influencer, and buyer. Meanwhile, the working husband as the gatekeeper.
