Abstract

Seiring berkembangnya zaman, kepedulian masyarakat terhadap kelestarian lingkungan dan ekosistem semakin meningkat. Hal ini mendorong para praktisi melakukan strategi sustainable practice untuk mempromosikan produknya agar lebih dapat diterima oleh masyarakat. Dalam industri kosmetik, kerap dilakukan sustainable practice dalam bentuk cruelty free. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat (1) pengaruh sustainable practice terhadap customer based brand equity (CBBE); (2) customer based brand equity (CBBE) terhadap brand competitiveness; (3) customer based brand equity (CBBE) terhadap brand trust industri kosmetik di Jakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisis jalur (path analysis) menggunakan PLS-SEM. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Sustainable Practice (X), Customer Based Brand Equity (Y), Brand Competitiveness (Z1), dan Brand Trust (Z2). Penelitian ini melibatkan 171 orang responden dengan teknik non-probability sampling dengan jenis purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner atau angket yang disebarkan secara online melalui google forms dengan pengukuran skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh hipotesis benar. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sustainable practice dalam industri kosmetik dapat meningkatkan customer based brand equity yang pada akhirnya dapat mendorong brand competitiveness dan brand trust.
