This research analyzes the feminism ideology and gender bias which is represented through the character of Cosette and Eponine in the movie musical Les Miserables. In General, feminism is the equality of rights between men and women and gender bias are behavior that isdone that is out of the gender stereotype. The forming of feminism ideology is shown by these two characters in Les Miserables, using John Fiske‟s semiotic methods and Feminism theories. This is a qualitative research with the character Cosette and Eponine in the movie musical Les Miserables as the object of research. The conclusion in the end of this research shows that the feminism ideology has not been fairly represented.
