Abstract

Employee empowerment in the workplace is not always related to how reasonable compensation and benefit is, but something intangible such as how they feel enriched by a motivational approach using the role of leadership communication is essential too. By this intention, the coaching program helps empower the employee. Also, the study involves the teacher’s other role as an employee in the middle of a school management system. This constructivist research tries to gather the branch of interpersonal communication, Social Penetration Theory, using its approach to be applied in leader-employee professional relation as the media to get the best outcome of the coaching program. According to constructing this thesis, all the steps taken have found that it is a coaching program as the tool for employees to get connected and build closeness with the leader. This closeness in the professional setting will create comfort and content.Numerous notes to continue and improve this study include exploring the trend of coaching in the workplace and getting more comprehensive data capture using the quantitative or mixed-method. Adding more communication theories to connect the relevancy is also advised because communication in the workplace is the key to many aspects towards empowerment for leaders, employees, and cross-function.
